Lately we have been getting a crazy amount of snow in Kansas, so today was a snow day for us. I used this day to prepare myself for the Educators Rising competition that will take place next Wednesday the 27th. This is an all day competition in Topeka that members from our CAPS Teacher Education class will attend. We will present our class presentation on technology and building relationships. I am excited because I will get to compete in the STEM lesson planning competition. I will present my lesson "What Does Your Watch Say?" to a team of judges. Last time I competed with this lesson, the judge who was a professor at Mid-America Nazarene University loved it and said that I was a natural teacher. I couldn't imagine receiving a better compliment than that. Regardless of how I will place, I am excited to travel to Topeka for this day and enjoy learning more about teaching along with my classmates.
