This is my last week at Harmony Elementary, which means I am graduating very soon. I helped with the first graders I normally work with. I love the relationships I am forming with them. It is amazing feeling when they ask me questions, say "Hi Miss Amanda!", and want to play with me. Autism is so beautiful and comes in many forms. There are no two students in this LIFT program who are identical in their diagnosis. I think it is amazing that our world is shifting to becoming much more inclusive and accepting of autism and other special needs. I hope this world continues to make progress in this area and more people will desire to get to know the amazing individuals they are.
